Web Designing to Attract More Clients

The prettier and convenient feeling your site is the better you are with your potential customers. It would be incredible to have a generous sharing of your articles, writings, blogs and pictures in your website but what most web sites need to be focused on about would be the articles and goodies that they want to sell. If you have to enlist your visitor in your list the best way to do it is offer them some incredible free e-zines and downloadable goodies in the form of e-books or posters, etc. You will feel that the more you get to welcome your visitors with quality information the better they respond to you. This is a big plus point when you have to attract clients and sell your products. Do not be a hard nut at selling and do not be wishy washy either. Always be up front about what you are selling without ever beating around the bush. But keep enough fun materials for those who do not want to buy your programs or who cannot afford your programs. Besides freebies are always cool! If you have a rather complicated pattern on your website you will never make great customers. Make the sales page completely out there and open. If nothing at all start with a pitch on what you are doing and get clients straight to the sales page with your product description and some really cool and authentic clients’ testimonials. Create a website with really upfront headings. Minuscule and detailed writing gets you no where. Most people don’t have the patience to read through details. You can add colorful blog materials as well articles and information on your related subject later. But a catchy sales page is a must if you are looking forward to make good money and business. Also SEO catching is really important if you wish to pull customers towards you. How you align your writing with what customers are looking for is really important for the popularity of the site. Miniscule fonts and really black and white pages do not attract clients anymore. You will have to make it colorful and bright. Bold letterings always make for great sales head. You will want to include lots of pictures, links and vibrant aspects to your blog as well. If you are going to link them well your popularity indeed soars and more people come to you.

The five main fixes that will bring wonders for your site include some wonderful text formatting, bold font size, clear and lucid line alignments, contrasting color for text and background, spaced out lines as well as short and segmented sentences. People usually have no patience with long and extensive lines. So if you are going to make straight through sales make the words flowing in structurally short ones. If you have some thing complex to explain as well you will have to create short chunks as well. Formatting your text for instance takes the front role in your webpage as this involves attracting the attention of your potential customers.

Put your page on diet

Designing your living room and designing a web page for the internet, is not all that different. Just like there are features that an artistic eye can use to make the living room look more interesting, a designer of a web page can similarly make a website more attractive and thus make the company’s business more lucrative. However, there are also some grand mistakes which a talented designer can make which might just make the web page an extreme flop.

The first mistake a web designer might make while designing a page for his client, is to throw in a lot of creative ideas. Although this might prove a designers worth, it will not always prove the webpage to be very user friendly. Usability has to be utmost on the designers list of things-to-do. He must make sure that once a user visits the site, he is not driven away due to complicated settings, difficult navigation or a jarring background or colours that might give him an eyesore. A design on the web must be kept as simple as possible. Even though colours and attractive designs are useful for attracting the correct target audience, some of the features of the site must also not make them less enthusiastic about exploring the site.

The site should also not take very long to be displayed. In some cases, some overtly enthusiastic designer might decide to display his talent and use all sorts of applications and chunky images to make his site unique. But the downside of this is that the site might never be viewed, if it takes forever to be displayed. Thus simplicity is the key to a hit design. The trick lies in making the design simple though unique and attractive. The talent of a good web designer lies in this very fact.

The appearance is definitely a key factor for the site to be attractive. Often the very appearance of a site, rather than its content or its subject matter might attract a user to a different similar site. So here, most importantly, the designer needs to be careful with the mood he sets with the appearance. The opening look of a site gives away a lot of first impressions regarding the company the site represents, and the kind of information that would be given out at the site.

He needs to use the colour scheme and set it for the site with a lot of thought put into it. He cannot just juxtapose all his favourite colours into one website. Most of the time it fails to please the user, only leaves him confused and at times absolutely disgusted.

In order for a web designer to execute the above features of his site with professionalism, he must have certain knowledge of how the technology works. He needs to keep himself updated with the latest softwares available for designers to make their job easier.

However it should be kept in mind that no matter how simple a software might seem and the tools they offer, a designer has to use them with restriction. The weight of a site is crucial for the site to be successful. If the site becomes too heavy with softwares and showy accessories, as mentioned above, the site might take extra long time to open. Thus, if a designer tends to veer towards over feeding his page, he will need to put the page on a strict diet.

Web of colours

Web designing has emerged as a new and very lucrative job opportunity for all artistic minds. If you have a creative way of thinking and you know exactly what to do to attract the crowds with your designs and colours, this might just be the perfect job for you.

A web design has to be catchy to the eye, easy to read and understand and not repulsive to the target audience! It is said that a visitor to a site, forms his or her opinion of the site within nine seconds.

What can be more attractive to the eye than colours? They are not only attractive they may also be helpful in navigation and easy handling of a user of the site. However, what is deceptive about the happy thought of attractive colours is that colours used for web designing do not come in the language we know and describe them in. Thus the red colour cannot simply be put in words, but as #FF0000 , or purple cannot be just that, but instead has to be used as #800080. Thus designing on the web is not that easy after all. For a person to be proficient at his work and execute it with a certain amount of professionalism, he has to educate himself to a certain extent. However, there are other options available to a web designer, he may use the colour type which is specified as a RGB triplet in the hexadecimal format, sometimes these colours can also be used in their common English names, or sometimes a colour box tool is also provided with certain softwares.

However, one thing should be kept in mind, that use of very bright colours, or a very colourful background or colourful text will only make the site look much cluttered. In order to avoid this from happening one must use white space carefully. White space exudes a feeling of spaciousness and neatness. Keeping it simple often does the trick.

Pertaining to this rule, the use of bulky colourful images must also be used sparingly while designing a site. Often heavy colours take a long time to just load. The testing of an audience’s patience is not the aim here. Thus, other kinds of attractive design ideas must be made use of. Tables can be creatively used while designing or attractive icons can also be made use of. The colours must enhance the site and its subject matter. It must not confuse the audience.

The first thing which a designer must do with a project in hand is agree on a colour scheme for the website with his client. The company logo and the colours of the site must be compatible with each other. The logo etc. can be preceded on when the colour scheme is thus decided upon. Usually, five colours are selected to make the job easier. Three colours are used for scheming, one is used for contrasting and another for highlighting. The important part is nailing one particular set of colours which would match your design idea as well as go together with all the five colours. Colours express the mood of the site and its personality, thus the colour scheme itself can be an inspiration for the entire theme of the website, and designers must be on the look out for such inspiration. You might find the perfect fit on a film poster or a baby’s clothes.

Inspired designs

Heads need not be beaten or hair need not be split over an inspiration block for a design. Even regarding the simple design of a webpage, designers might reach a block in their minds and might not be able to proceed further with a client. Web designing is not always an easy task and is not as simple as it seems. There are however, some simple ideas which every designer must keep in mind. These can come handy for any kind of designer, especially those who have deadlines to meet and clients to keep happy.

The best method to overcome a creative jam is creating a trusted system. Jotting down ideas, to do’s and other tiny notes has always done a world of good for every creative person on the planet. Sometimes it may not seem necessary to jot down less important things, but actually it does help. A less important note can always help to trigger off an important memory or something related to it. Journals and random notes on something that you carry with yourself everyday are very important. It can be stored in a notebook, on your mobile phone or even on your laptop. It comes in very handy to remind you of a forgotten mood.

One of the most important things to record is ideas. Great ideas are often fleeting. They are there in your mind one moment and gone the next. No matter how hard you convince yourself to remember it you generally do not, and it comes back to you on a rainy day, a long time after you have suffered enough of your mental block. Creative impulses therefore must never be lost track of.

Eliminating distractions and focusing on the task in hand is another crucial method of concentrating. It might be easier said than done, but it must be concentrated upon. Most creative people claim that they live in chaos and they are most inspired when they are in the middle of some doggone catastrophe, however, focusing will always help you move in the right direction. It has seldom failed great creative minds.

A great new concept which has come up is making a review list. This must consist of items of inspiration and other reference items. A regular look over of one of these inspirations list might just solve a mental block. It might just prove to you what has been holding you back or what particular type of inspiration you have been stuck on. This might help you move on from a trend which might not be working out with you.

Another important thing to remember is that designing is not the only artistic talent which exists in the world, thus it is advisable to develop other creative habits. These can include a regular habit of taking photographs or writing creatively. This can always help in triggering off your own creative inspirations.

But most importantly creativity exists maintaining discipline and also through learning and practice. Working hard and practice can help the designer to be more inspired.

There are plenty of types of laptops floating around there but one of the most recommended types is the Toshiba laptops . Not only because of their broad range of features but other things as well which I will be discussing in this article.

One of the most amazing features of these types of laptops is their long-lasting battery life! Nowadays you just don’t see battery life lasting very long for laptops, and these kind of laptops really help to push their battery life way up there with other potential competitors.

Another thing to note is that they’re very energy efficient! You can’t get much greener then these types of laptops. Good or brilliant?

A good designer can design anything. So why not websites? With the right knowledge of how a web site and its designing work, a truly artistic mind can turn a drab site into something much more interesting and attractive.

No matter how well the design might go down, it’s usability to the audience is of utmost importance. If the site is not easy to use and navigate, it can confuse a user and he may also get impatient and just simply – go away. Thus, even a simple design can win over a beautiful but complicated website. If a site is simple and easy, more people will be attracted to it, as they wouldn’t have to waste time trying to figure out how the site works. A good design will be attractive to look at, but a great design will be, along with this, invisible. It must be seamless; the audience does not have to know the hard work you put in to designing it. The goal of the designer must be to allow the user to communicate with the site as effortlessly as possible.

Also, consistency must be maintained throughout the course of the entire website to be designed. The audience should not be bombarded with an assortment of different design ideas for web pages, all fit into one website. This again confuses the user, and he might believe himself to be lost. That is why, a single theme for the entire site is important. One, or maximum two font types and sizes must be selected for the whole site and it should be used consistently. Colours should also stick to a particular scheme, whether it is for the font, for the captions or the navigation.

It is indeed fun to experiment with flash and it would be fantastic to create a flash enabled site, but again, usability must be kept in mind. A site with flash-work in it will always take time to download, and it might just bore the user. Thus, a designer must stick to using a static html, and refrain from using flash unless absolutely necessary.

Another way to set a friendly and trustworthy tone with the user is to allow a skip option. This is for those pages that only provide extra information or advertisements and would take a lot of time to download. This is usually the case with the introductory pages. Thus, if the user is allowed to skip this page, it immediately creates a good image for the site.

Other ways by which, a site can be both simple and attractive to the common audience, is by easy navigation. Navigation must be boldly placed for the audience to consider and thus explore the site further. Graphics or pictorial representations however, cannot always be used. They do not always make sense to the audience. Thus a textual explanation of the navigation must be given to make the site more user friendly.

Other ways by which a site can be made user friendly, is by making sure that an easy and bold way to get back to the home page is mentioned. The audience getting lost in the website is not a very happy thought.

Accessibility is another important feature to be given much consideration. It is becoming increasingly important for sites to be easily accessible on a search engine. This is especially true for educational sites and other governmental sites.

Creative? New job for you

The 21st century leaves no space for talent to go to waste. There is an opportunity and a chance for everybody to find their niche in the world. You do not need to be a trained engineer or a doctor anymore to make a more than comfortable living. Job opportunities for creative people have opened up in plenty and the range is vast. On the Internet itself, tasks such as web designing are extremely paying and satisfactory job opportunities.
Web designing requires immense skill and the designer needs to be an artistic and creative person to carry out job assignments at hand. It is the skill of making suitable presentations for the web page of a company or a site.

A web site is a collection of material on a particular subject or a company, presented on the World Wide Web. Therefore, designing a web site, is designing each page and arrangement of each of these pages on the same topic or related topics, which as a collection make a web site.

The reason why it was previously said that a web designer needs to be creative and skillful, is because while designing a particular website there are several pointers that he must keep in mind, which are certain deign strategies along with being original and creative. The main feature of the web site which he must keep in mind is the content of the site. The designer must acquaint himself well with the subject he is dealing with or the company he is designing the site for. This is to ensure that the subject and content of information he includes in the web pages must be relevant to the site and it must attract and reach the specified target audience. This is of utmost importance. Thereafter, the appearance of the website is very valuable. The way in which it is designed attracts the target audience. Sometimes, the target audience might choose one site over another depending on the way a site looks. Thus the graphics and the style of the website must be appealing to the eye and should set a standard as to what the site is all about.

Usability of the site is another important aspect of a website. The web designer maybe technologically very advanced, but the audience of the website might not always be. If a user struggles to find his way around a website, he might give up completely. Thus a web designer must keep in mind to make a website as user-friendly as it is possible. Especially the navigation around the site must be easy and reliable. The visibility of a website is also important. The use of easy language in the site is imperative for search engines to find them easily. With the progress of technology, as the Web and web designing itself progressed, the designing language itself started to evolve and become more complex, now more complicated designs can be added to a web page, such as stylized text, images and tables etc.

With the growing popularity of the Web, web designing companies are also emerging in large numbers to cater to the growing demand of such work all over the world. In countries such as India, Bangladesh, Romania and Russia, western design companies are establishing their branches to utilize the low labour costs available in such countries.
