The flashy and sometimes not-so-flashy FLASH…

What one expects to do is to come up with various new interesting themes and visuals whenever one thinks of planning a website. Web designing is one of the recent crazes in the internet arena. It is a challenge to come up with the graphics and animation part as it tends to take up the maximum time. One needs to be absolutely clear about the concept of the website and whether the website is for commercial or non-commercial purposes. The web designing includes animation, authoring, communication design, typography, marketing, search engine optimization and other various individual interactive innovative ideas. There are several technologies that assist in the creation of the website to be posted on the internet through the World Wide Web. The programming of the web pages is the basis for the use of software and the way the pages are constructed.
The multimedia technologies are one of the most tiring of them all. Hereby we would be talking about a particular software used extensively in the development of the websites. Flash, better known as Adobe Flash or Macromedia Flash (as it was previously known), is one of the primary intruders in the making of the website. For commercial purposes, one cannot probably think of a website that doesn’t use the Flash as an ingredient for the web pages. It is a graphics designing software and simple animation techs can be done with the help of this software. Dynamic content can be delivered with the help of the software which might include sound and image installations over the internet. Interactive applications can be dealt with beautifully with the help of this software and therefore there is so much importance that is shelved out on the use of the software.
Flash is extremely user friendly to the developers and it gives them the perfect control over the design and every single nuances of the creation. The applications that are created do not have to be refreshed every time an action occurs and it doesn’t go to a new page every time. The developers with the help of Flash can use embedded fonts instead of the standard fonts installed on most of the computers. A complete website can be created out of Flash itself without even bothering to use HTML as an editor software. Flash can also be used to protect content from any kind of unauthorized duplication or copying or even developing on it. Alternatively, small, dynamic Flash objects may be used to replace standard HTML elements with advanced typography not possible via regular HTML or CSS.
All about Adobe Flash can be learnt online through various websites and also there are number of small time courses that include the workings of the Flash. There are however some instances of the Flash being not able to be integrated into the core formats and protocols of the internet. It is more self contained than most software used on the internet and it does not integrate the web browser UI features. The ‘back’ button doesn’t take back to the previous screen of the same Flash file or the ‘refresh’ on the browser doesn’t refresh a portion of the file but the file is restarted from the beginning. There have been criticisms against the software like the inability of the Flash designed websites to get the full screen resolution and the search engine optimization on Flash designed websites are hard to theorize. According to the new rules on the internet, if a website is not allowing proper search engine optimization then the website is posed as a threat or a spam and is banned from the World Wide Web.
